Halloween Pregnancy Announcement Ideas for Big Brother
If you plan to share the news in the Fall, then you could do a Halloween announcement. You could take a picture of your boy dressed in this cute pumpkin shirt that says “this little pumpkin is going to be a big brother.” If you plan on telling family in person, then have the big brother to be arrive in this shirt as a way to share the good news.
Another idea is to dress the big brother to be in their Halloween costume and grab an adorable digital sign to put in the picture. I really like this Halloween themed one that says “It’s no trick! I’m going to be a Big Brother April 2021”.

Christmas is another great time of the year if the timing works out to share your pregnancy. When it comes to getting a classic big brother shirt, then look no further. This awesome shirt is perfect in a gorgeous navy blue. You can also get it in different colors of course, but I liked the blue.
Another big brother shirt is this nice blue one that says big bro. I like the simple box around the words.
I feel this grey shirt with arrows is for a really cool kid. It could be perfect for an older kid and says “promoted to big brother”.
If you wanted one that was more unique yet still very classic, then this one that has the definition of a big brother is a great choice. It says, “big brother (broth-er noun) a male sibling, protector, and defender, partner in crime, best friend for life.” How sweet is that!
Since their reign as only child is about to end, this shirt hits the nail on the head. You could get this sports themed such as football or baseball or just plain, it says “Only child season ending April 2019”
I had my two littles very close in age so this onesie would have been perfect. It says “I may be little but I’m going to be a big brother. “
A popular trend is to grab a shirt that has something cute on the front and the news on the back. These are great to make cards out of because the front of the card would be the front of your child and the inside would be the back of your child like in the images below. The shirt is also an adorable choice, it says “I’m so cute mom and dad did it again!” On the back, it says “big brother effective April 2017.”

A digital sign is the perfect addition to any photoshoot. You could pair it with a cute big brother shirt or just a cute photo of your child. You could also add these to a family photo.

Another great choice is this find on Etsy that goes over all of the things a big brother can teach their littler sibling like how to share and how to explore.
I really like this book “I am a big brother” and love that it comes with a teddy bear that has a big brother shirt. A perfect gift for now or later when your son arrives at the hospital to meet the new baby.

I love the idea of a big brother camera and album because it gives them a job. They can take pictures of the baby. It is a fun job and it is something they can do when they come to the hospital and when baby is home.

If your little guy loves to do arts and crafts, then consider this awesome crayon set.
Big Brother Hat, Badge and Sash
Lastly, this gift is a big brother hat, badge and sash. What I love about this set is that it has something for now and later. I would give them the hat when we announced and told our child that he was going to be a big brother. I would save the sash so he could also wear one at the shower with me. This would make him feel special and highlight his new role. Lastly, I would use the badge for when he visited the hospital.
