12 Habits of Really Beautiful Women: Can’t Miss Tips for Radiant Skin, Hair, and Confidence

I am a big believer of when you look your best, you feel your best. And not only because your confidence goes up but also because healthy skin is a beauty goal but also a VERY clear indicator of a healthy body.

However, achieving that radiant glow isn’t just about what you put on your face or how you do your hair—it’s about adopting daily habits that keep you glowing from the inside out.

Like most of us, I don’t have endless money or time to be spending so I’m here to share 12 habits that will help you look amazing!

Whether you’re trying to keep your skin clear, your energy high, or just want to feel more confident in your own skin, these habits are the game-changers. And trust me, these aren’t just tips—they’re lifestyle changes that will have you feeling like a whole new version of yourself.

1. Don’t apply Sunscreen in the morning

Apply it all day! Actually by the time the UV is high enough to be causing skin damage, your suncreen you applied in the morning has worn off. UV rays are at their strongest between 12 PM and 3 PM so you actually need to apply it during the day. keep a small tube of sunscreen or sunscreen wipes in your car, your purse, and even at your desk. Set a timer until you get in the habit of remembering to apply it to your face.  Sun damage is over 90% of skin aging! This is better than any of those expensive beauty skin products!

2. Silicone scar pads for wrinkles

These silicone scar pads are to help your muscle fibers relax and straighten out after a major cut that causes them to re-form like noodles. It can act in the same way for your wrinkles and lines. Just cut a patch and wear it all night. It is one of the best things I have discovered recently.

You might think skipping night cream is no big deal, but here’s the thing: your skin does most of its repair and regeneration while you sleep. By using a nourishing night cream, you’re helping your skin rebuild and fight off damage caused during the day.

3. Unforgotten parts of skincare routines

We all know the routine: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, and moisturize regularly to maintain healthy, glowing skin. However, the products are just part of the recipe! You need to consider the water and the towels.

Water: most water has chemicals that will destroy your skin leading to aging and acne. Water filters that attach straight to your shower are not expensive and one of the best investments you could make for your skin besides sunscreen. Once we added a water filter to our shower and to our skin, my skin quit breaking out no joke.

Towels: bacteria thrive in bathrooms due to the high humidity. That means your towels while it dries is a great home for bacteria to grow. I bought a set of 20 face towels and now use it once and put it in the laundry. I also never dry my face with bath towels after the shower.

4. Hydration for skin isn’t just about drinking water

Drinking water (or eating salads) are great ways to hydrate. However, your skin also needs direct hydration you lock in. After a shower once you skin has been in water, pat dry and then lock that moisture in with a lotion that contains hyaluronic acid. It can hold a crazy amount of water locking it close to your skin. Dehydrated skin not only look bad, is uncomfortable but also damaging.

5. Vitamin e gel capsule mask

This one is really great in winter but one every two weeks, I coat my face with a vitamin e gel capsule (like the one you would take a pill vitamin). I then sleep with it on and my skin is baby soft in the morning. It is truly one of the best ways to hydrate and refresh your skin.

6. Lip Balm + lip stick

Dry, cracked lips can make even the most glamorous makeup look fall flat. Make sure the lip balm you pick has sunscreen. They’re more vulnerable than you think and can burn just as easily as the rest of your skin. Plus, sunscreen on your lips helps prevent dark spots and wrinkles.

Once you applied lip balm, top it off with a lip color! Avoid peppermint in any of these products, very drying and can cause cracked lips.

7. Turmeric soap

There are these japaneese tumeric soap bars that I use to wash my face. I started because I became obsessed with turmeric and they have helped so much with dark spots and giving my skin brightness again. Highly recommend.

8. Nail Hack for strong beautiful nails

I really love wearing nail polish. It just makes me happy. However, I hate how quickly most chip and I also like having long nails but didn’t want acrylic and gel didn’t give my nails the strength they needed.

My favorite new nail hack is to do a layer of clear dip to give my nails strength followed by gel nails. I ask for this when I go to the salon. I also do it myself with the dip set and the gel set I got on amazon. You could also do just dip with color but then you have to remove it each time and it is bulky on your nail. This way you just have to remove the gel and then fill the clear dip when needed. I can then paint my nails and change up the color more.

9. You don’t need expensive brands

I use almost all Cerave products. You can pick any brand you want but I am here to remind you, most are no different than Cerave. Skincare doesn’t need to be expensive. Routine, chemical free water, hydration and sunscreen are key!

10. Exfoliate Regularly (But Not Too Much)

Exfoliation is essential for keeping your skin smooth and bright. But too much exfoliating can actually strip your skin and leave it irritated. The key is to exfoliate just the right amount to reveal fresh, glowing skin without overdoing it. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub or a chemical exfoliator (like AHAs or BHAs) once or twice a week. Be sure to follow with a good moisturizer to lock in hydration after exfoliating.

11. Get Your Beauty Sleep

There’s no beauty routine that can replace a good night’s sleep. Your body and skin need time to rest and rejuvenate, so don’t underestimate the power of a full 7-9 hours of sleep. Create a calming bedtime routine that helps you unwind—whether it’s a warm bath, a cup of chamomile tea, or reading a book. When you sleep well, you’ll wake up looking rested, refreshed, and ready to tackle the day.

12. Challenge yourself to eat the top 9 beauty foods

Each week find new ways to add these foods into meals or snacks. Pick one food a week don’t try to do it all at once. Focusing on adding good foods instead of removing not so great foods was so key for me to also lose weight and keep it off

1. Avocados: The Ultimate Hydrator

Avocados are packed with healthy fats and vitamin E, making them a powerhouse for skin hydration and elasticity. Their healthy monounsaturated fats help keep your skin moisturized from the inside out and protect it from dryness.

Tip: Add sliced avocado to your toast, toss it in a salad, or blend it into a smoothie. The creamy texture also makes it a fantastic addition to DIY face masks for an extra boost of moisture.

2. Walnuts: Omega-3 Powerhouses

These little nuts are full of omega-3 fatty acids, which help to fight inflammation and keep your skin supple. Omega-3s play a crucial role in maintaining the skin’s cell membrane, helping it retain moisture and staying smooth and plump.

Tip: Snack on a handful of walnuts, sprinkle them over your morning oatmeal, or blend them into smoothies for a healthy dose of skin-loving fats.

3. Sweet Potatoes: A Natural Sun Shield

Sweet potatoes are loaded with beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A. Vitamin A is essential for skin cell production and repair, helping to keep skin smooth and free of wrinkles.

Tip: Roast them, mash them, or turn them into fries! Sweet potatoes are not only delicious but an easy addition to your meals for glowing skin.

4. Tomatoes: Skin-Boosting Antioxidants

Tomatoes are packed with lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your skin from the damaging effects of UV rays and supports collagen production. Lycopene also helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Tip: Enjoy them fresh in salads, make a homemade tomato sauce, or snack on cherry tomatoes throughout the day. Cooking them actually increases the availability of lycopene, making them even more potent.

5. Blueberries: The Anti-Aging Fruit

Blueberries are a superfood loaded with antioxidants, particularly vitamin C, which is vital for collagen production. Collagen is what keeps your skin firm and youthful, so eating blueberries can help prevent sagging and fine lines.

Tip: Add them to your smoothies, yogurt, or oatmeal. You can also freeze them and use them as a refreshing snack on a hot day.

6. Spinach: A Green Glow Boost

Spinach is high in vitamins A, C, and K, all of which are essential for skin repair and radiance. It also contains iron, which helps to keep your skin looking healthy and vibrant by improving circulation and reducing dullness.

Tip: Toss spinach into your salads, smoothies, or sauté it with garlic and olive oil for a quick, skin-loving side dish. It’s one of the easiest ways to get glowing skin without extra effort.

7. Dark Chocolate: A Sweet Treat for Your Skin

Yes, you read that correctly—dark chocolate can actually benefit your skin! It’s rich in flavonoids, which help protect the skin from sun damage and improve blood flow, giving you that healthy, natural glow.

Tip: Choose dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa content to reap the skin benefits. A square or two a day is all you need to enjoy the glow!

8. Carrots: The Skin-Soothing Snack

Carrots are another great source of beta-carotene, which, like sweet potatoes, promotes healthy skin by supporting skin cell turnover and helping to fight off damage from free radicals. They also have anti-inflammatory properties, making them great for acne-prone skin.

Tip: Snack on raw carrot sticks, toss them into salads, or roast them with some olive oil and spices. Your skin will love you for it!

9. Green Tea: Antioxidant-Rich Skin Elixir

Green tea is rich in polyphenols, which are antioxidants that fight free radicals and reduce inflammation in the body. Drinking green tea can help reduce redness, puffiness, and skin irritation, while also boosting hydration.

Tip: Drink a cup of green tea in the morning or throughout the day. You can also apply cooled green tea bags to your eyes for a soothing and anti-inflammatory treatment.

Lastly Never Underestimate the Power of Perfume

The most beautiful women know that fragrance is an invisible accessory. A good scent can elevate your whole vibe and make you unforgettable.

Tip: Choose a scent that’s uniquely you. Light floral notes for daytime and deeper, musky scents for the evening can give you that signature fragrance. Don’t forget to apply it to your wrists, behind your ears, and your collarbone for a long-lasting effect.
